Two Amazing Games

I’ve been off work since last Thursday due to having ear surgery, so I have been in the house a lot trying to keep busy. I have cleaned and organized my room and the kitchen, my usual… One thing that I also did was start and finish, two amazing games… BioShock Infinite, and the New Tomb Raider… First off, BioShock 1 and 2 were simply masterful creations, and I have to the Infinite did not disappoint. It was an amazing story and so much more amazing to play. I have to admit I was never a huge fan of the Tomb Raider games in the past, I mean I was a fan of Lara Croft but the games themselves, I could take them or leave them… This New installment, more so an origin story, was truly a pleasure to play… The Story in this game was very intriguing and the action was riveting. It actually reminded me of another superb title… Uncharted. If it was not for the title character of Lara Croft this could have been an uncharted title… That is not a bad thing at all… Not in my opinion anyway…

Video games are better than movies at times, they last longer than a movie and in some cases draw you in much deeper. This is really know surprise when you dive into all it takes to make an epic game. By epic game, I am talking titles like Halo, Uncharted, Mass Effect, BioShock, Half Life 2, Portal, and many more. What makes a game “epic” in my mind? Well, some of the things that make movies great, The look of the game the thought and time put into the characters, the relevance of the cinematic scenes and the acting involved. Of course Game play is a major factor as well… It needs to “feel” good, smooth and almost effortless. Not “easy” to play, but you can’t be fighting the controller when you are trying to play the game… That can ruin a game real quick, and no amount of awe inspiring graphics, or Oscar award winning, celebrity guest stars could save it…

Basically I was so impressed with these two games I had to let people know…
